When we share our views on here, I bet we never imagine those views might speak. To each other. Like having a life of their own.
No way did I foresee that sharing my photos and river musings from Cornwall might spark a future creative conversation between a photo…and a painting. One inspiring the other to become itself.
But, for the second time since I’ve been part of this group, that’s exactly what’s happened. Last week, a wonderful Romanian artist asked to paint from a photo of my view for her post lockdown exhibition in Italy. This week, it was an artist much closer to home…
How extraordinary for an artist eye in a different part of Cornwall to spy a same county view via this global Facebook window on the world that‘s been helping us all find home. Her home in Cornwall is so close as the crow flies yet so far in terms of the chance we would ever have connected were it not for this. On here and now.
That amazing Cornish artist, Ann-Marie Rideout, has now so kindly shared her take on one of my recently captured and posted moments of this beautiful river Tamar view that embraces the tiny village of Cargreen.
From my eyes to photo, to her eyes to painting. A remarkable rippling conversation leading to this… ❤️
