Under Frost We Wait

England has entered its third lockdown. There under frost we wait. Emptied lockdown days being duly cast against this second charge of a virus that knows how to change its face.

Staying home in hope we might emerge in Spring from this winter chrysalis of covid uncertainty. Acting now to be together in some distant, safer time.

In Cornwall, I miss the voices of those around me. But I can hear the fragile sound of crisp ice underfoot and the gathering wild geese who show me how to huddle within a storm in fear of nothing.

Holding still. Taming time. Keeping well.
