The Bathers

Who misses going to the beach? I do. I’ve always loved living by the water. When the Pandemic ends and the weather is warm enough, the first thing I am going to do is jump into the Ocean. Sea bathing is such a joy!

This photo is of a large-scale sculpture called “The Bathers” (1985) that I took near one of the entrances of the Belém Cultural Center, in Lisbon. The artist is Niki de Saint-Phalle, from France.

These two bathers certainly seem joyful! Aren’t they great? So playful!

When was the last time you had fun on the beach and swam in the sea?

Would you like to take a tour of Lisbon from the comfort of your home?

The Cultural Center of Belém is one of the attractions seen in a Virtual Tour book that I have recently published.

Satisfy your wanderlust and discover an amazing place, in a world in which our freedom of movement is restricted. And it’s all yours for the price of a cup of coffee.
