Rosh Hashana

I’ve met some beautiful people through the windows of this Group.

You have sustained me throughout the Lockdown, and continue to amaze and amuse me by sharing your joys, sorrows, laughter and love.

On this Friday night, the start of the Jewish New Year, I was invited to travel two hours away from my third-floor flat to the home of one of our fellow Members whom I became acquainted with, purely through chance, within the safe confines of this Community.

Sydelle Brodie contacted me and asked if I’d like to join her and some beautiful people for the Rosh Hashana Sabbath meal.

Not being overly proficient in the kitchen, I accepted her generous offer, as I do enjoy someone else’s cooking.

I brought the Two of Them with me. They were all excited about the road-trip, too.

So here we are, soaking up the sun in Sydelle’s garden, and enjoying the conviviality of our new friends.

Shabbat Shalom, L’Shana Tova, and may God bless us all in the coming years.
