Kitchen Conundrum

When you live alone, laziness sometimes slips into the mix. I’ve nobody to blame for drinking the last of the milk. I’ve nobody to moan at for not mopping the floor. I’ve nobody to chastise for the dirty dishes that need washing.

But I’ve got Bear, who silently speaks to me and reminds me that I’ve got responsibilities that really need my attention.

So, yesterday, after putting these tasks on the back burner, I got off my lazy backside and tackled them one by one.

My goal before I settled in for the evening was cleaning the kitchen. And as I frantically finished the washing-up, I looked through the window and was struck, yet again, by the sun going down outside my third-floor flat.

As always, my phone is never far away, so I quickly caught the magnificence of my surroundings through the flimsy curtains in my kitchen. I like this window. I should probably look out of it more often.

Love and light from Cyprus.
