In the Flesh

Because we’re #OpeningUp in Cyprus, it’s now permissible to have more than ten people in a room at a time, maintaining social distancing guidelines, naturally.

I have, over the last few weeks, been physically able to attend a meeting twice a week which previously was only possible via video conferencing during Lockdown.

To see my friends in the flesh after so long is phenomenal. To be able to talk all at once, instead of “now it’s your turn”, is terrific.

But last night, I was itching to hop up and go to the window where I could see the sun setting.

There’s incomplete construction next to our meeting-place, and through the window, the ghosts of concrete blocks beckoned me.

It struck me how sad it is that so many projects have been left abandoned over the last three months.

But hopefully, the building will boldly continue some day, and Cyprus will return to glory, to welcome you all with open arms and open hearts.

Love and light
