On my initial invitation to join this Group, I didn’t realize how much diversity this format would offer. My very first post featured the dangling mobile on my balcony, backdrop of melting sun, and a brief description.
I was out there again this morning and got another gander.
I was once married to a motorcycle guy. He was super-simple to please when it came to present purchasing. If it had anything to do with bikes, I bought it.
I went solo to South Africa on a holiday where I commissioned a street vendor to handcraft the beaded beauty. It is composed of tiny “seed beads” and wrought wire. I transported this treasure back home to my husband.
When he left me to “find himself”, he took his toys, grabbed his gifts and hauled his Harley out of my life. He left me and the mobile. Silly boy.
It’s followed me around the globe and now rests, rusty, revolving from the awning on the third-floor of my building.
