Fairytale Horse Listener

I went for a gentle Sunday stroll here in my village in Cornwall and passed an idyllic yellow cottage by an ancient grey ruin church. I noticed a couple through the window, lost together doing a jigsaw. I could hear the sound of their chickens, strutting across the stable yard like they owned it.

A few yards further up, past a pristine allotment, I came across their fairytale horse. It stopped munching its hay and began staring at me for what felt like ages. I found myself sharing all my troubles. It listened, nodded kindly and we both moved on…

Cornwall is very beautiful Lynn. Probably more famous more for its coastlines than wide open spaces. Neighbouring Devon is gorgeous too. Worth a trip one day for sure!
