Hello friends, I am an American living in Shenzhen, China where I serve as the director of a charity working in orphanages across the country. Since I joined and started posting in this group on April 6, I have met some fantastic people who I now call friends, including a film documentary producer who contacted me to do a short documentary on my life in China during COVID. This short video is a window into my current life in China. Since the inspiration for the documentary came from this group, I would love to share with you, my new friends. ❤️
Each of us has a story to tell. Thank you for bravely sharing yours with me and in turn kindly listening to mine. From Romania to China to America to wherever you are sitting as you are reading my words, we all have been experiencing a common moment that has brought us together in a unique way. Even now as things are opening up more and more, we all still need one another and maybe more than ever we need hope, joy, peace and sincere love.
This group has brought the nations of the world together as we rejoice with those rejoice, mourn with those who mourn. So, let’s keep sharing, you never know who you may touch with your stunning or mundane picture, your personal, cheerful comments and heart emojis. I for one have been super blessed by all of your kind words, amazing views, vulnerable sharing and open hearts. Thanks Arik for creating this space for us to become friends at a time when this is exactly what we need: relationship and connection with one another.
“Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” Romans 12:9-10 NIV
Sending love from China.
