I have tried with determination to provide you with alternative views from the 3rd floor of my block in Cyprus, and realized that I have yet another perspective from the tiny window in my bedroom!
I moved here almost three years ago, and whilst the flat was mostly furnished, there was no curtain so to speak, so I used a beautiful scarf. It was blowing in the morning breeze, affording me the opportunity to peek outside and see my neighborhood from yet another angle.
This place in which I live is my haven. My solace. It’s literally the center of my universe during these difficult and extraordinary times. And what I see from my window is the promise of better days to come. Of hope. Of love. Of kinship with the rest of the world.
So although there’s no washing on the line across the car park on this beautiful Sunday, I can take comfort from the birdsong and breeze. And I know I am among friends. Be safe. Be well. Be kind.
